Installation
Choose a proper position, the least magnetic-interference, though it can buffer and compensate magnetic-interference. Try to keep a proper distance (12 inches at least) with steel, iron, magnetic, engine and other magnetic materials. It is advised to install this device on a vertical aluminum material pole (or no magnetic material), and then carry the course-precision test (turn the pole, make sure the pole perpendicular to the platform, try best to avoid outside magnetic interference).
The MARK (arrow) posted on the device must be at the same direction with BOW.
Use and Commission:
After installation, this device should be calibrated (proofreading) to make sure the precision.
1）Connect the BLUE (CAL) with BLACK (GND), power on, and then it will output 111.1degree, indicating it is in calibration status)
2）Turn this device from 0°to 360°at the original position for gathering the magnetic data around. Note: If it is fixed with other equipment, please turn it together with the whole equipment (that means drive the boat for one round), only in this way can guarantee the precision.
3）Finishing the “turning” operation, disconnect the BLUE (CAL) and BLACK (GND), proofreading completed, the device will show the correct degrees
